Bodies of Work

Each body of work represents a distinct phase in the development of a single ongoing investigation: the construction of a coded pictorial language in which painting and inscription are inseparable.

The works range from canvas to instant photography, from single pieces to installations of 366. What remains constant across all of them is the Vapensiero Alphabet — and the premise that a painted surface can hold what ordinary language cannot.
